how can somebody …
how can somebody possibly text while driving? seriously i cant even adjust my mirrors without almost drifting into the next lane. It’s like the Robin Williams joke “Texting while driving is like trying to juggle and jerk off at the same time” lol

Request not to txt …
Request not to txt and drive is denied. There is totally nothing wrong txt and driving or talking on the cell phone.

I see the data in …
I see the data in front of me, but this is why you are responsible as a driver. Take care of your phone when you KNOW 100% that you are able to. This is part of being an adult… o_O

lol can u read a …
lol can u read a txt message without looking at the screen? I don’t think so… Its not that the actual txtin part is making them have accidents, it’s taking your eyes off the road to look at a tiny screen and actually understand what the person wrote. It takes a good few seconds to read a long text but only a split second for someone to pull out in front of you.

I wouldn’t trust …
I wouldn’t trust myself to function properly if I tried using a phone while driving. I don’t multitask well and really cannot afford to take my eyes off the road for even a second.

Just last sunday, a teacher at my school got killed in a car crash involving a person who was texting while driving. For many of us at my school, it was like losing a mother. I just don’t understand why these kinds of things have to happen..

@arcadianskies77 …
@arcadianskies77 you are and ignorant prick. when you hit someone while you are texting then you will understand, take it from someone who was hit by a person texting while driving, so you.

I was hit by …
I was hit by someone using a cell phone while driving. Both my legs broke and shattered my knee caps. I have to slowly learn to walk again. Texting or even using your cell phone while driving is dangerous and stupid.

I understand …
I understand texting and driving is bad and it’s something I dont condone, however, how can you make an accurate result if your subjects are not the exact age. Older people, while obviously tend to have more knowledge than younger people, their reaction time will not be as quick as that of someone younger age.

To arcadianskies77. I hope you are being flippant with your comment. if you are for real, i hope the family of the people you WILL MURDER by texting and driving get you in a small room with no cameras!

I wonder how much …
I wonder how much texting/driving experience the other driver had. Of course it’s dangerous, but people w/ different texting experience will do a lot differently.
I don’t text, so I’d probably be the worst on a test like this. But I’d never text while driving. I’m glad that they used one person who admits to this, but they should have tested more people who text frequently behind the wheel.

cause that the “use …
cause that the “use of any instrument that take your attention out of the car” is a crime in my country. If my memory saves, is a fine of about US$100 and 5 points on your license (after 20 the license is removed from you).
December 19th, 2009 at 1:41 pm
wake up people, …
wake up people, before you cause an accident. I drive on average 600 miles a week, and see people drive like this all the time, and I can almost always know that the person is texting. Don’t text and drive.

this is pointless. everyone is different. not everyone is aware of their surroundings and kinetics.

I know I can’t …
I know I can’t believe he is calling us ignorant. My dad is a firefighter he has shown me people that text and drive once they get in that one crash they never expected. Once you see what someone looks like after a crash from just texting, you’ll throw up. seeing the pictures from the files is horrible. smashed faces, decapitated heads.
