I have a Blackberry 9630 (Blackberry Tour) and I can only type 160 characters whenever I’m texting someone! I’ve had a Blackberry before and I’m pretty sure the same thing happened. Why does it do this? Is there anyway to change it?
I can’t think of the name, but I believe there is an app out there that will allow you to type SMS messages longer than 160 characters. Check in the app world and crackberry.com’s app store to see what’s out there.
Why is it that you can only type 160 characters in SMS texting on Blackberry phones?

Its because society is dumb lol no well idk, it happens to my phone and mines verizon.it does this because the MB usage in each message only can hold so much, pretty much , if you could send lets say 600 characters in one message, your phone would be huge and bulky.
