Why cant I send a MMS or SMS on my Nextel Blackberry 8350i?

I can receive text messages but when I try to respond it says "No MMS Service Record". I dont have a blackberry plan. I do however have unlimited texting. Whats the problem?

Call or go to Nextel website and register your IMEI number on back of phone. That should do it. You cant send SMS text with Nextel its not supported just send it as MMS it appears as the same thing when other people receive it.
