I get free texting and am wanting to text a friend in India. BUT was curious if I texted out of the continent, would there be a really high phone bill lol? I’m from United States by the way.
International texts are not covered by your text plan and you will be charged by the text. Your carrier may offer an international texting plan.

yes you would. it would be outrageous. some companies do offer international text and calling minutes for additional charges. if i knew for sure i was gonna be talking and texting with them regularly i would add it. 20 to 40 extra (depending on how much you want) is better than hundreds in overages.
