You don’t actually need someone’s phone number to PIN them. You can also attach things to a PIN. The PIN also goes through the BB servers and not over the regular cell network. This is an advantage when SMS is slow/not working.

i have t mobile also without a texting plan and it costs me 5 cents per text so that would be 75 cents for 15 text messages.
p.s. I get what you mean about getting more answers in this category. I put my questions in this category most of the time.

I sent a couple picture messages and I was wondering if it cost any additional charges to your bill if you have unlimited texting? Im on appalachian wireless
AT&T charges it as picture mail and it is an add’tl 25cents for each. It wouldn’t be considered a text message because there is data along with it.
