The $5 package is not unlimited to Verizon. It is 250 total messages (that includes sending or receiving, not just sending). If you want unlimited text messaging to Verizon phones (unlimited IN messaging), the cheapest text package is $10. That gives you unlimited messaging to Verizon phones and 500 messages to other carriers.

I’m getting a phone for my birthday, and I have recently been looking for what to get. I will be texting A LOT on this phone I get. We have At&t, and i’m not sure which phones have really great/good texting abilities on them. The costumer reviews online aren’t really helping me any, so if you have any type of At&t phone (wither you text on it or not) please give me some type of advice on your phone (or phones)

Immediately, I would say the iPhone.
BlackBerry Bold, BlackJack, Pantech Matrix, Samsung Propel, At&t Quickfire.
All these phones have the QWERTY keyboard.

Don’t know where you live, but if you can find an independent service dealer they can give you 10% discount. (at least thats what my independent dealer gave me). FYI, independent dealer meaning not a store by the company itself (like an ATT store wtvs), not a radioshack, but a really random independent dealer.

Im thinking of getting a virgin mobile phone and I am just wondering how texting works. As stated above, does it subtract from the minutes or charge cash? Also, how much minutes/money does it subtract per text? I am talking about the prepaid cards you buy at the store, not like a monthly plan or anything.

You can buy a unlimited texing plan for 15.00 a month.

I get free texting and am wanting to text a friend in India. BUT was curious if I texted out of the continent, would there be a really high phone bill lol? I’m from United States by the way.

International texts are not covered by your text plan and you will be charged by the text. Your carrier may offer an international texting plan.

My parents took my texting away and refuse to give it back lol. I’m old enough to make my own choices and I’m going out to get a prepaid phone but I’m wondering how much a prepaid phone from Verizon with unlimited texting only would cost per month. Any help is appreciated thanks!

One of my friends had the same issues as you. She bought the original Alias online. Then went to Verizon to buy a prepaid plan. The plan she picked was for $30. She texts a lot mostly. I recall that unlimited texting wasn’t available.
